Leather Care Guide

Hand-tooled leather is durable and develops character with use. A little care helps it last. This is general guidance for leather goods like ours.

Everyday care

  • Wipe with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and dirt.
  • Keep away from prolonged direct sunlight and heat, which can dry and fade leather.
  • Store in a cool, dry place. A cloth bag or a dust bag lets the leather breathe.
  • Avoid overfilling wallets and bags, which stretches the leather and strains the stitching.

If it gets wet

Blot gently with a soft cloth and let the leather air-dry naturally, away from radiators, hair dryers or direct heat. Do not rub hard on tooled areas.

Conditioning

Every few months you can apply a small amount of a good-quality leather conditioner with a soft cloth. Test it on a hidden spot first, because conditioner can darken leather slightly, and keep it off painted or coloured accents such as turquoise details.

Belts

Hang belts or roll them loosely instead of folding sharply, and rotate the hole you use to spread wear.
